Apricot Paste: A Burst of Sunshine in Every Bite

Some ingredients are quiet workhorses; apricot paste is not one of them. Bright orange, tangy-sweet, and unmistakably sunny, it brings both colour and character to whatever it touches. That visual lift is a genuine commercial asset — a glaze or a filling made with real apricot paste looks as appealing as it tastes.

Colour and flavour from the fruit alone

The vivid hue is not added; it is the apricot's own carotenoid colour, concentrated as the fruit is sun-dried and pureed. The flavour follows the same logic — a sweetness balanced by a clean tang, with no need for acidulants or flavouring. Because the paste is 100% fruit, that brightness comes with a clean label.

A genuinely two-sided ingredient

Apricot's balance of sweet and tart is what makes it so flexible:

  • Sweet applications — fruit fillings, Danish and pastry glazes, cake layers, and confectionery centres;
  • Savoury applications — glazes for meat and poultry, tagine-style sauces, and dressings where a fruity acidity is wanted.

Few fruit ingredients move so easily between the two, which is why apricot paste often becomes a year-round line rather than a seasonal one.

Sunshine you can specify

The brightness only sells if it is consistent. Our apricot paste is made from Malatya fruit, pureed and packed at our İzmir facility to a written specification, with a Certificate of Analysis per lot and food-grade pail, drum, or aseptic IBC packing. It rounds out a three-line range with our date paste and fig paste.

Frequently asked questions

What gives apricot paste its bright colour?

The colour comes from the apricots themselves — carotenoid pigments concentrated as the fruit is sun-dried and pureed. Our apricot paste is 100% fruit with no added colour or flavouring.

Is apricot paste sweet or tart?

Both, in balance. Apricots carry a sun-kissed sweetness with a clean, bright tang, which is why apricot paste works as well in savoury glazes and sauces as it does in sweet bakery and confectionery.

Where do your apricots come from?

From Malatya in Türkiye, the country's apricot heartland. The fruit is sun-dried and pureed at our İzmir facility to a written specification.
